TAMIU Athletes Garner 2005 RRAC
Conference Soccer Awards


Texas A&M International University student athletes garnered a number of awards at the 2005 Red River Athletic Conference Awards banquet held Wednesday night in Dallas.

TAMIU men receiving awards were:

  • Senior Daniel Hermosillo earns RRAC Offensive Player of the Year honors for the third straight year. Hermosillo closes his career as a four-time first-team All-RRAC selection.
  • Sophomore Phillip Liversedge becomes TAMIU's first player to earn Defensive Player of the Year honors.
  • Senior José Macías earns first-team All-Conference honors after earning honorable mention honors as a freshman and second-team honors as a sophomore and junior.

Jazmin Velez of TAMIU’s Women’s Soccer Team was named to the 2005 RRAC Women’s Soccer All-Conference Second Team.
