Students who have not taken the ACT College Entrance Exam and wish to begin their higher education this Spring will benefit from a new Texas A&M International University initiative.
A&M International will offer a free ACT Residual Admission Exam Tuesday, Dec. 5. The regular price of the exam, $39, will be waived by the University on a first-come, first-served basis.
Verónica González, director of enrollment management, said the offering, dubbed "It's Time to ACT!" should be of great interest to local and area students.
"We always have a number of students who are unable to meet the testing dates because of work conflicts, family responsibilities, scheduling difficulties, or financial concerns. 'It's Time to Act' relieves the potential student of some of those burdens and provides them with an opportunity to take the admission exam for entry at A&M International this Spring," González explained.
Students interested in signing up for "It's Time to Act" are urged to do so by calling the University's Testing Center at 326-2130 as space will be limited.
"We urge all students interested in beginning their college education this Spring to take advantage of this opportunity and sign up for the Act residual exam. It's a great savings and a great incentive to start your higher education," González said.
This Spring expanded course offerings, additions to faculty and new degree programs will make 53 undergraduate or graduate programs available to students.
