Annual Young Dancer
Recital at TAMIU
Dancers as young as two through 60 years, who are members of the Texas A&M International University Young Dancer Program and students of the TAMIU Ballet Folklórico Juvenil will be featured at the annual TAMIU Young Dancer Christmas Recital Friday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public.
Highlights from the program include excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” and traditional holiday favorites.
The songs will be performed to a variety of different types of dances from pointe, ballet, jazz, hip hop, folklórico to flamenco.
The Young Dancer Program is a community-based program that holds classes from September-May, offering children ages two to 11 a combination class including ballet, tap and Spanish dance and Teen/Adult classes in ballet, tap, jazz and Spanish dance.
