Da Huo earned the award for his research projecting the impact of the 2008 Olympic Games, to be hosted by China, on that country’s duty-fee shops. A group of five Texas A&M International University students recently participated in the annual Pathways to the Ph.D. Research Symposium Conference hosted by Prairie View A&M University, with Da Huo receiving first prize. This is the second year in a row that a TAMIU Ph.D. student from the University’s College of Business Administration places first in the competition.
