If you are interested in learning English as a Second Language (ESL), you may register for intensive courses at Texas A&M International University Feb. 25-March 8.
The courses will be offered in six levels from March 18-May 10 at the University's International Language Institute (ILI). Each level consists of two sections: a listening, speaking, grammar section and a reading and writing section. Class hours are 8:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Monday-Friday and tuition is $880 without books for both sessions. Tuition is $485 if a student chooses to participate in only one section.
María Dolores Orellano-Pérez, director of the ILI, said besides teaching students essential English skills, ESL courses can also expand educational and career opportunities.
"I encourage students to take advantage of these courses and become prepared for the future challenges of our global economy," Orellano-Pérez said.
