Local and area golfers can help support student scholarships at Texas A&M International University at the TAMIU Alumni Association Golf Tournament scheduled Friday and Saturday, April 25-26 at the Lake Casa Blanca Golf Course.
The 2003 Tournament benefits the TAMIU General Scholarship Fund.
Tournament format is a three-person scramble with two tee off times, 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26. On Friday, April 25, from 5-9:30 p.m., golfers, their friends, event sponsors and organizers can participate in a reception and silent auction as well as a variety of skill contests.
Early bird entry fee is $125 per player if received before April 11, 2003 and $175 thereafter. Team entry early bird fee is $375 prior to April 11 and $450 thereafter. Entry fee includes golf cart and green fees, gift pack with shirt, cap and golfing accessories and breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Awards Banquet.
The University is encouraging all members of the Alumni Association, including graduates of TAMIU and the former Texas A&I University at Laredo and Laredo State University, to attend and participate in the event.
