Enjoy Lotería as you have never experienced it before. Lotería Performing Arts will present an evening of visual arts, dance and cross-cultural collaboration, “El Poliedro / The Polyhedron,” at Texas A&M International University Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. in the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Theatre.

Tickets are on sale at http://tinyurl.com/loteriatickets. General admission is $10; student admission, with ID, is $5, and free for children 10 or younger .

“El Poliedro / The Polyhedron” is a multimedia program featuring performances by soloists from México City’s Compañia Nacional de Danza, and New York City’s Corbin Dances, and the Joffrey Ballet Ensemble.

Launched in 2012 and named after a traditional Mexican game of chance, Lotería is a non-profit initiative promoting original collaborations between Mexican and American artists.

Inspired by the chance combinations of the namesake card game, Lotería performances creatively mesh dance, music, video and sculpture, allowing artists to express themselves in surprising new ways.

Lotería has provided new opportunities for Mexican and American artists to successfully work together, learn from each other, and communicate their unique creations to diverse audiences. Lotería has performed in Madrid, Mexico City and New York City.
