TAMIU Presents Government, Social Services Career Fair Wednesday, Oct. 28

            Those seeking job opportunities in government and social services sectors are invited to Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Government and Social Services Career Fair Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 1-4 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

            Local, state and national employers from government and social services agencies will attend the event to promote employment and internship opportunities for TAMIU students, alumni and the public.

            Celina Maniece, TAMIU director of employer relations, said registration for the event is not required and it is free to students, alumni and the public.

            Participants are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their résumé and dress in business professional attire, she said.

            Participating agencies so far include the Laredo Energy Arena, U.S. Marine Officer Programs, Drug Enforcement Administration, International Revenue Services-Criminal Investigation, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Transmaritime Inc., Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Army, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Dallas Police Department, Texas A&M International University Office of Graduate Studies, TAMIU A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Border Patrol, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Border Region Behavioral Health Center, Congressional Office of Henry Cuéllar, Federal Bureau of Investigation, CASA-Court Appointed Special Advocates, and United Parcel Service.
