TAMIU Lunchtime Concert Features Jewish Music Sept. 27

Take in lunch and a show at the upcoming Music on the Menu at Texas A&M International University Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 12:10 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Dr. Colin Campbell, University organist and assistant professor of music and organ, will perform at the lunchtime concert.

The program includes Jewish-inspired music and musical prayer in observance of Yom Kippur. Highlights include Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, selections from Bruch’s “From Jewish Life” and other musical prayers.

The concert will be approximately 45 minutes. 

Featured guest artists include Brendan Townsend, assistant professor of music, on cello and Belinda Latsky-Campbell, adjunct, on clarinet.

Campbell will also provide a live organ improvisation at the next installment of “Silent Movie” at the TAMIU Recital Hall, Saturday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m.
