The U.S. Small Business Administration San Antonio District Office, in conjunction with the SBA Office of Advocacy, will hold a roundtable discussion in Laredo Thursday, August 30.

The event will be hosted by the Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) at TAMIU’s Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center, room 101A  from 10 a.m. –  12 noon. It  will allow small business owners and stakeholders from all industries to discuss the effects of federal regulations.

“The Office of Advocacy ensures the interests of small businesses are represented in Congress and the Oval Office,” said Laketa Henderson, SBA Deputy District Director, “I am excited that small businesses in Laredo will have a chance to have their concerns heard at this roundtable discussion.”

“The TAMIU SBDC is honored to serve as the conduit for the exchange of this critical information and feedback from our small business community here in Laredo to those who will help to shape policy in the future,”  said Michael González, TAMIU-SBDC director.

This will be the second regulatory roundtable held within the San Antonio District. The information gathered at the event will be utilized to inform agencies, Congress and the public on what specific regulations can be modified or removed to help small businesses, Henderson noted.
