Steinway Series Returns
to TAMIU March 25

The sounds of Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy, Ravel and Chopin will fill the Texas A&M International University Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Recital Hall with the second installment of the 2007 Steinway Series scheduled for Sunday, March 25 at 4 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Frances Renzi, Professor Emerita at the University of Toledo, will perform the second piano recital in the Series.

She will also conduct a masterclass for selected students Monday, March 26 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the CFPA Recital Hall.

Renzi has appeared as soloist with many orchestras including those of Dallas, Houston, Toledo and the New Hampshire Music Festival. She has also given recitals in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, on the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series in Chicago, at the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., and throughout the U.S.

The native Texan received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and Master’s degree from the Juilliard School.

The Steinway Series encompasses classical piano repertoire performed by TAMIU piano faculty and guests pianists from around the world. TAMIU is one of only two universities in Texas to be named an “All Steinway School.”
