TAMIU Dates ESL Classes for March 28

Texas A&M International University's International Language Institute will begin classes for the next session of intermediate and advanced intensive English as a Second Language on Monday, March 28. This eight-week intensive course will meet Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on the TAMIU campus.

Lola Orellano Norris, director, said the courses were perfect for both professionals who wanted to improve their English and increase their fluency, as well as for students interested in attending TAMIU.

"The intensive courses use a dynamic interactive methodology, and students will start using their English language skills immediately. Because of the teaching style, students advance very fast, working in small classes with personalized instruction from native speakers," said Norris.

She said classes focus on listening, speaking, grammar, reading and writing, and require a placement test.

For more information, please contact the International Language Institute at 326.2136, visit offices in the Anthony J. and Georgia A. Pellegrino Hall, room 302 or e-mail ili@tamiu.edu. University office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
