Classical Music Recital to Feature TAMIU Music Students March

Texas A&M International University students' musical talent will
be showcased at the Department of Fine and Performing Arts' Honor Recital
Wednesday, March 31 at 8 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing
Arts Recital Hall.
The recital, which will feature TAMIU's music students and associate
professor of music Dr. Friederich Gechter performing various classical
music compositions, is free and open to the public.
Interpretations will include works of Paul Hindesmith, Robert Muczynski,
and C. Saint-Saëns.
Performers include students Eileen Torrales on flute, Mónica
Arriaga on flute and Wendy Mitsui on clarinet, and Dr. Gechter on piano.
All students are pursuing a bachelor of music-all level certification
at TAMIU.
