TAMIU Students Help Stage LLT Production of 'Laura'
All the world's a stage for three Texas A&M International University
students who are involved in the upcoming Laredo Little Theatre production
of "Laura," scheduled April 30, May 1 and 2.
Manuel Camero, a business marketing major is director; Ariel Sauceda,
English major, is stage manager and Monica Galvez, psychology major, is
a portrait painter for the production.
A mystery play adapted from the novel by Vera Caspary, "Laura"
includes parts for 5 men and 3 women.
The play centers on an investigator, Mark McPherson, who is in charge
of the murder investigation of Laura. As he pieces together her life through
her letters, personal effects and those who loved her, he himself falls
in love with her.
Though dead, she appears very much alive in an instance of mistaken
identity. Yet soon, all evidence seems to point to Laura as the murderer...how
will McPherson proceed, now that he's in love with a ghost who lives?
Tickets are $5 for all showings and are scheduled at 8 p.m. April 30
and May 1 and 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 2.
