TAMIU Recognizes Student Excellence with Annual University Life Awards

The Texas A&M International University Life Awards recently honored student organizations and individuals exhibiting outstanding commitment to excellence.

Sponsored by the Student Government Organization, nine awards were presented.

This year's awards and winners are:

Freshman Excellence Award: Lucia Maldonado

Student Organization Member Achievement Award: Nancy A. Balogh

Outstanding Community Service Award: TAMIU Gung Fu Club

Most Active Student Organization of the Year Award: TAMIU Music Club

Leader of the Year Award: Devry Saenz

Most Outstanding Sponsor Award: Lakshmana Viswanath

Coolest Shirt Award: Sigma Delta Pi, Phi Xi Chapter

Center Piece Award: TAMIU Film Club

Best Cubicle Award: TAMIU Film Club
