Get your golf bag ready and your competitive spirit revved up. Texas A&M International University's 5th Annual "Dusty's" Golf Tournament will tee up this weekend at the Lake Casa Blanca Golf Course Friday and Saturday, April 28-29.
The highlight of the annual event, which raises scholarship funds for the A&M International General Scholarship Fund, will be a one-time-shot at winning a $1 million annuity on Hole 18.
Richard McCoy, Tournament coordinator, said the Tournament will feature a number of events aimed at both golfers and non-golfers wishing to make a difference for students pursuing their higher education dreams.
"With activities ranging from skills contests to a Silent Auction, the Tournament promises to be an event for everyone. And remember, all winners from the skills contests get their name placed in a drawing for a one-time Hole-In-One shot at winning the $1 million annuity," he said.
University partners have played a key role in helping to plan for a successful event, McCoy said.
"We are fortunate to be able to count on partners who wish to actively participate in the betterment of higher education here," he said.
