Latin American Studies
Week Ends at TAMIU

A week-long observation of Latin American Studies at Texas A&M International University will come to a close Thursday.

The observance has been hosted by the Latin American Studies Program, sponsored by the University’s Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language DOE Title VI Grant with additional assistance from the Ford Motor Company Fund. All events are free of charge and unless otherwise noted, are open to the public.

From fun games of lotería and lectures on the clash of languages to readings and dance performances and special exhibits on Latin American countries’ cultures, Latin American Studies Week has offered an eye-opening experience for students and TAMIU visitors.

Final events for the week are:

Thursday, April 26
11:15 a.m. – 1 p.m.

¡Viva Latinoamérica!, a presentation of the arts featuring readings from favorite authors, music from favorite artists and a folkloric dance from Colima, México in the Student Center cafeteria. Open to the public.
