TAMIU Piano Recital Features Duets
Monday, May 9


The public is invited to enjoy a piano recital Monday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Hall. Admission is free and the recital is open to the public.

Dr. Fritz Gechter, associate professor of music and Dr. Mary Grace Carroll (photo), director of piano studies at Laredo Independent School District's Vidal M. Treviño Magnet School, will perform a piano-duo recital on two pianos. The recital will also feature piano duets with both pianists on one piano performed by several of Dr. Carroll's students, including two of Dr. Gechter's.

The recital will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Edvard Grieg, Manuel De Falla, and Ernesto Lecuona's famous "Malagueña."
