Author to Read from New Book at TAMIU

Neo Franco Cantú, an emerging writer and author of "A Destiny Foretold," will conduct a book reading and signing on Thursday, June 10, at 5 p.m. in the rotunda of the Student Center at Texas A&M International University.

Cantú s first book, "A Destiny Foretold," is an epic scale novel that traces the life of a 9-year-old boy, Antonio Rodriguez, and the life he experiences during the Mexican Revolution of 1910.

It is published by Houston-based NFC Literary Ventures and is available at Barnes and Noble, BDalton, Amazon and Borders Books.

Cantú is a native of Crystal City and earned a BA in Spanish Literature from Baylor University. He attended North Texas State University after an Army MI Vietnam tour. He has conducted extensive research on the indigenous people of Michoacán and Puebla, México, gleaning insight for his first novel.
