TAMIU Professor Selected for NEH Institute
Texas A&M International University's Dr. Sean Chadwell, assistant
professor of English in the College of Arts and Sciences, will spend part
of his summer examining the intersection of liberal arts and regional
study at Ferrum College in Ferrum, Virginia.
Chadwell was selected as one of 24 professors from across the nation
to participate in the National Endowment for the Humanities' (NEH) Summer
Institute for College and University Teachers. He will also receive a
stipend for his time.
The Institute brings together educators to pursue the dynamic opportunities
regional study can bring to the liberal arts, including using local authors
in classrooms and studying local issues from a variety of educational
traditions.
