TAMIU Campus Closes July 31 for Construction Connection
On Saturday, July 31, Texas A&M International University will be
closed.
Electricity on campus will be disabled from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. to allow
contractors Constructors and Associates, Inc., of San Antonio, to connect
the Lamar Bruni Vergara Science Center to the main grid.
Offices, all buildings and the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library will
be closed for the day. The Library will resume regular business hours
on Sunday, August 1 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Power to University Village,
on-campus student housing, will not be affected.
The new Science Building is part of the University's Phase IV expansion
and will house its growing science program, labs and classrooms and faculty
offices.
