First-time Texas A&M International University freshmen who wish to participate in A&M International's free two-day overnight Freshmen Orientation program Aug. 10 - 11 must register for the event as soon as possble since space is limited.
Freshmen can register for the Overnight Orientation by calling the University's Office of Student Development at 326-2280. A $20 fully refundable deposit is required to register.
The supervised Overnight Freshmen Orientation will be held at University Village, the apartment-style student housing located on the A&M International campus. Orientation participants will check into University Village at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 and check out at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11.
Among the scheduled activities are advisement and registration for Fall semester courses, an opportunity to buy textbooks at the University Bookstore, an informal lunch with faculty and staff, and a chance to explore the A&M International campus.
The overnight Orientation will also feature several social activities, including a volleyball tournament, a movie night, pool party, and scavenger hunt.
