How about an opportunity to speak a completely new language?
This Fall at Texas A&M International University, you will have a chance to learn English or Spanish and practice for the TOEFL exam through intensive courses offered mornings, nights and weekends.
One of the courses, English as a Second Language or ESL, will be offered in many levels and students can choose where to concentrate more: listening, speaking, and grammar or reading and writing.
ESL will be offered Aug. 18- Dec. 12 for the evening classes and Aug. 18 -Oct. 10 for the morning classes. Students can also enroll in the mornings from Oct. 20 -Dec. 12.
Tuition for ESL ranges from $466-$916 depending on the areas of concentration that the student selects.
TOEFL preparation courses will be offered Aug. 18-Dec. 12 in the evening. A weekend course is also available.
Tuition for TOEFL preparation courses is $466.
In addition, Spanish will be offered Aug. 18-Dec. 12 in the evening. Tuition is $316.
Registration is currently underway and students are urged to register as soon as possible to secure a seat in the classes. Last day of registration is Aug. 18.

With State budget cuts, the University is observing a four-day, 10-hour a day schedule this summer with office hours from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Offices are closed Fridays. The University will return to its regular office hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday starting Aug. 15 (offices will be open that Friday).
