Want to get info about Texas A&M International University en español? If you've answered 'yes,' then tune into Univisión 27's regular programming of soap operas La fea más bella and Barrera de amor Tuesday, Aug. 8 from 7-9 p.m. and call 956.326.2270.

On that day, TAMIU representatives will make a special appearance live in Spanish to answer viewers' questions about the educational opportunities the University offers and what's new on campus this Fall.

As they dial in, viewers will be directed to a bilingual University representative who will answer callers' questions on everything from financing a higher education to registration steps and housing. 

Minita Ramírez, TAMIU associate vice president for student success, said the University is providing this unprecedented opportunity for students and family members who prefer to receive information in Spanish.

"We encourage viewers to pick up the phone and call us so we can assist them immediately with any questions they have about TAMIU," Ramírez said, "We know that many students are preparing to attend the University this Fall and this is one more way of us saying to the community that we're here to help make their dream a reality."

Ramírez said that during the segments, viewers will also be invited to attend the University's Open House, scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Student Center Ballroom.

The Open House is an informational day about the University where students and their parents can meet with TAMIU faculty members and representatives to discuss the various opportunities the University offers.
