"Iceman" Gervin at TAMIU's Sports Memorabilia Auction

A basketball icon will visit Laredo next week. San Antonio Spur legend and Basketball Hall of Famer George "Iceman" Gervin will serve as guest speaker at the third annual Texas A&M International University Sports Memorabilia Auction, which will be held on Tuesday, August 10 at the TAMIU Student Center Ballroom on campus. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The evening will include live and silent auctions of unique sports collectibles, a presentation by the Iceman, food from local restaurants and bar service (two comp drinks per paid admission). Laredo Bucks head coach and general manager Terry Ruskowski will serve as guest auctioneer.

Local restaurants committed to provide food for the evening are Frulatti Cafe & Bakery, Coyote Creek Grill & Cantina, Johnny Carino's Country Italian, Marble Slab Creamery, Mariachi Express, New York New York Sushi Bar & Grill, Red Lobster and Olive Garden.

Individual admission is $50 and a group of 10 will be admitted for $450. Children under 13 will be admitted free with an adult paid admission and reservation.
