Student Referendum Vote
at TAMIU Nov. 29 - Dec. 1

Texas A&M International University students will begin online voting on Tuesday, Nov. 29 through Thursday, Dec. 1 for a Referendum for an Athletics Enhancement Fee.

The proposed fee, brought forward by the Student Government Association, would increase the TAMIU Athletics Fee by $3 per semester credit hour and further enhance TAMIU Athletics.  The enhancement would make possible greater recognition to TAMIU as its Conference-winning teams become better known across the State and Nation.

“The Athletics Enhancement Fee would be dedicated to the current operational needs of the Athletics Program, including uniforms, equipment, travel and gym maintenance,” explained TAMIU vice president for finance and administration Juan J. Castillo, “It could also be used for the addition of other TAMIU sports in the future.”

Students will vote online using their OneCard  beginning at 8 a.m. Nov. 29 and continuing through 11: 59 p.m. on  Dec. 1.
