Two Business Workshops Remain
in June TAMIU-SBDC Series

The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) will sponsor several workshops during the month of June.

Thursday, June 21: Internet Marketing Workshop will be offered from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., classroom location will be provided with registration confirmation. This hands-on workshop spans the entire process of building a simple website from the ground up, with plenty of pointers and reference material.  Alejandro Quetzeri will lead the workshop covering traditional marketing versus internet marketing; basics of internet marketing, web analytics, search engine optimization, social media and pay per click – sponsor ads.

Tuesday, June 26: How to Create a Digital Business Card (Website) for Your Business, a hands-on workshop from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in TAMIU’s Dr. Billy F. Cowart Hall, room 116.  Today, entrepreneurs are lucky to have so many ways to be active online: blogs, social media profiles, and more. But every business needs an online “home base,” a place to call your own.  That home base is your website. It’s your welcome mat, your window display for visitors on the internet. At this informative hands-on workshop instructor Steve Gutierrez, Director of the Azteca Economic Development & Preservation Corporation, will cover the steps on how to create a website.  By the end of the session, you will walk out with your very own website!
