TAMIU PR Gets Awards from
13th Annual PRSA Del Oro Awards

Texas A&M International University’s Office of Public Relations, Marketing and Information Services was the recipient of two awards at the 13th Annual Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Del Oro Awards held at San Antonio’s Oak Hills Country Club last week.

TAMIU’s director of public relations, marketing and information services (PRMIS), Steve Harmon, APR, was recognized and accepted the PRSA awards.

The PRSA Del Oro Awards for TAMIU were the El Bronce Award of Merit for Other Social Media Category and the El Bronce Award of Excellence for The 2014 President’s Report (Annual Report category).

Earlier this year TAMIU’s PR office was the recipient of three awards from the 2015 International AVA Digital Awards Competition; seven awards from the National 30th Annual Educational Advertising Awards (EAA) and four American Advertising Awards (known as ADDYs) from the American Advertising Federation, bringing its total awards to date to 16.

PRSA is the nation’s largest community of public relations and communications professionals. It provides training, sets standards of excellence and upholds principles of ethics for the global public relations profession.  Its 22,000 members represent nearly every practice area in both professional and academic settings.
