The Student Center at Texas A&M International University houses various student services offices such as enrollment management, student life, student development, student health, pre-college programs, international programs, and career services. The building, dedicated in March 2002, was made possible in part by increased student fees that the University student population approved in 1998. Special features of the Center are the University's Barnes and Noble Bookstore operation and a food court with dining services provided by ARAMARK. There are seven lecture halls and three conference rooms in the center as well as offices for student organizations, a lobby information center, student study areas, coffee services, a ballroom capable of seating over 550 (for dining) or over 1,000 for lectures, a game room, quick copy center and a 188-seat auditorium.
