What's Next?

TAMIU uses the State of Texas' ApplyTexas Application for undergraduate and graduate application for admission for U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and international students.

When your application is submitted via the ApplyTexas website, a thank you email will be sent from the ApplyTexas website, not from TAMIU. Please allow 48 hours after submitting your application for processing. Once the application is received, expect a notification of decision within 2 – 4 weeks after all documents are received.

Please Note: TAMIU only requires applicants to complete pages 1 – 6 on the ApplyTexas Application.

Freshman:

  • Submit official high school transcript, indicating class rank,  with school seal and/or school official signature.
  • Submit official ACT scores (TAMIU code: 4215) and/or SAT scores (TAMIU code: 0359) electronically.
  • Submit official transcript(s) from every college or university attended (if applicable).
  • Early High School graduates must submit a Letter of Completion from high school counselor.

Transfer:

  • Submit official transcript(s) from every college/university attended.
  • Demonstrate minimum grade point average of 2.0.

Transfer Freshman:

  • Submit official final high school transcript, indicating class rank, with school seal and/or school official signature and graduation date.
  • Submit official ACT scores (TAMIU code: 4215) and/or SAT scores (TAMIU code: 0359) electronically.
  • Submit official transcript(s) from every college/university attended.

Graduate (Domestic):

  • Submit official transcript(s) from every college/university attended.
  • Submit student 300-word narrative/essay
  • Submit official GRE/GMAT scores (if applicable).

Graduate (International):

  • Submit official transcript(s) from every college/university attended
  • Submit official Certificate of Graduation
  • Submit student 300-word narrative/essay
  • Submit official TOEFL or IELTS scores
  • Submit official GRE/GMAT scores (if applicable)
  • Submit Financial Statement Form
  • Submit Letter of Sponsorship
  • Submit Bank Statement.
