Personal Training is encouraged for everyone from new
exercisers through advanced or competitive athletes.
What if I just need someone to motivate me or be accountable?
There are many reasons to want a personal trainer and this is one of the popular reasons.
Different individuals need a personal trainer for different reasons. You have your own desires and needs.
Can I work out with a friend?
If you have a partner with similar goals and desires as you, dual training would be great for you.
How long do the sessions last?
One hour
Does personal training deal with diets as well as exercise?
The trainers goals are to help you meet your goals and to help you improve your overall lifestyle.
Nutritional aspects of your lifestyle as well as exercise will be covered.
Personal Training Terms and Conditions
All clients must complete the following forms prior to starting their training sessions: PAR-Q & You, Health/Medical Questionnaire, Exercise History and Attitude Questionnaire, Program Packet and when applicable a Physician's Approval form. Click Personal Training Packet link to print forms.
To sign up with a trainer, you must register in the Recreation Center. Once you register, your trainer will contact you via email or phone within 2-3 days.

All Personal Training sessions must be held in the Student Recreation Center.
Sessions are one hour in length, and the hour begins at the scheduled meeting time.
Personal Training Sessions that are not rescheduled or cancelled 24 hours in advance will result in forfeiture of the session.
If the client arrives more than 15 minutes late for the scheduled appointment, forfeiture of the session will result and the personal trainer has the right to leave the premises. You may contact your trainer directly or call 326-2289 to cancel or inform tardiness of your appointment.
It is recommended that all program participants work with their personal trainer at least 2-3 times per week. However, due to scheduling conflicts and financial considerations, a combination of supervised and unsupervised workouts is possible.

All sessions must be used during the semester in which they were purchased. Personal training sessions are void after this time period. Exceptions are made only for medical reasons or for those purchasing a 24-Sessions Package or 32-Sessions Package. To request an exception you must contact Victoria Davenport at 326-3017. All unused sessions will be forfeited.
Refunds will be given if submitted within five business days of purchase with receipt only. Exception – No refunds will be issued once the first session with your trainer has been scheduled.
Remember to bring a towel and water to each training session.
Contracted Personal Trainers hired for sessions are required to have a current Personal Training Certification from an Accredited Agency.
