Welcome to TAMIU ARMY ROTC

About Us

Army ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) is one of the best leadership courses in the country and can be part of your college curriculum. Being a student at Texas A&M International University and learning to become a leader will make your college experience even richer and prepare you for the future.

What is ARMY ROTC?

Army ROTC is an elective curriculum students may take along with their required college classes. Students are prepared with the tools, training and experiences that will help them succeed in any competitive environment. Along with great leadership training, Army ROTC can pay for students' college tuition, too. Interested students can enjoy a normal college experience like everyone else on campus, combining classroom time with hand-on experience. Upon graduation, cadets commission as an Officer in the Army.

What is an Army Officer?

Being an Officer in the U.S. Army means being a leader, a counselor, a strategist, and a motivator. It's similar to being a vital manager in a corporation. An Officer leads other Soldiers in all situations and adjusts to the changing environment. Officers are problem-solvers, key influencers, and planners. They are driven to achieve success with their team on every mission.

Army ROTC Benefits

Army ROTC is one of the nation’s top leadership programs, with many benefits to joining. Through Army ROTC students can:
