3.2.12 The institution's chief executive officer has ultimate control of the institution's fund-raising activities. JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE Compliance. NARRATIVE/JUSTIFICATION FOR JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE The University President has ultimate control over fund-raising activities. Under The Texas A&M University System Policy 21.05: Gifts, Donations, Grants, and Endowments, the Board delegates to the Chancellor and the University Presidents the authority for preliminary acceptance of gifts, donations, grants and endowments. In addition, prior to any formal announcement, a gift must be reviewed in accordance with this policy and The Texas A&M University System Regulation 21.05.01: Gift, Donation, Grant and Endowment Administration. With the approval of the University President, the Office for Institutional Advancement serves as the coordinating agency for all types of fundraising programs and for all solicitation and appropriate processing of funds.
