4.8 The institution is in compliance with its program responsibilities under Title IV of the 1998 Higher Education Amendments. (In reviewing the institution's compliance with these program responsibilities, the Commission relies on documentation forwarded to it by the Secretary of Education.) (Applies only to those institutions receiving Title IV funding.) OFF-SITE REVIEW COMMITTEE COMMENTS The institution did not furnish a status letter or documentation supporting current standing with the Secretary of Education. They noted that materials are available in the SACS Resource Room on their campus. JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE Compliance. NARRATIVE/JUSTIFICATION FOR JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE Action: Texas A&M International University hereby provides the documents supporting the University’s approval to participate in student financial aid programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (Title IV, HEA Programs). The following process was followed to receive eligibility to participate in Title IV, HEA Programs:
The Program Participation Approval Transmittal letter was then submitted to the Department of Education on July 17, 2003 (Program Participation Approval Transmittal Letter).
“The Dallas Case Management Team is pleased to inform you that, based upon the information included in your Application for Approval to Participate in Federal Student Financial Aid Programs, the Secretary of Education (Secretary) has determined that Texas A&M International University (Institution) satisfies the definition of an eligible institution under the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA).” (Approval Letter) The Eligibility and Certification Approval Report dated July 10, 2003 designated the institution as eligible through June 30, 2009 (Eligibility and Certification Approval Report)SUPPORT DOCUMENTATION
