
Texas A&M International University, a
four-year comprehensive university on the Texas-Mexico border, prepared
its compliance audit in accordance with principles outlined by the
Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The
University affirms its responsibility to conform to the policies and
procedures outlined in the Commission’s Handbook for Reaffirmation
of Accreditation and Principles of Accreditation. The University's
commitment to highest quality is embodied in the Texas A&M
International University Institutional Mission:
Comprehensive and thorough, the audit describes and evaluates all aspects of the University mission, including teaching, scholarship, and community service. It analyzes and evaluates academic programs, administrative units, support services, faculty and staff, student affairs, physical facilities and physical plant, and financial resources, and analyzes its organizational structure, governance, curriculum, and process of continuous evaluation and quality improvement. Emphasizing honesty and integrity, the University Administration and SACS Leadership Team confirm that the compliance audit is an accurate representation of the state of the University; pledge to provide any additional information that may be requested by the Commission and its representatives to facilitate the accreditation review process; and understand that the results of the Commission’s accreditation process may be shared with agencies or persons requesting such information. |
