Book Author Presentation




As part of the Reading the Globe program, the author of the Common Read comes to TAMIU and speaks to the freshman class. This occurs on a Friday in October, once students have finished reading and discussing the book in UNIV 1101.



In addition, the author participates in "Laredo’s One City, One Book Speaker Series" where he/she speaks at the Laredo Public Library.

  • Music on the Menu- September 27, 2017 at 12:10 p.m. in the Center for the Fine Arts and Performing Arts Recital Hall. Dr. Colin Campbell will perform Jewish-inspired music in observance of Yom Kippur. 
  • Rebirth after the Holocaust: The Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp, 1945-1950.
