Program

TAMIU’s Department of Language and Literature will offer a five-week study abroad program in Malaga, Spain.  This six credit program consists of two upper division Spanish Literature courses examining the works of Federico Garcia Lorca and Rafael Alberti (Drama and Poetry) and a Special Topics course that will provide an in-depth look into the Spanish historical novel produced in Spain since the last quarter of the 20th century.

The program is directed by Dr. Agustin Martinez Samos, a native of Granada, Spain and Assistant Professor at the College of Arts and Sciences.  There will be complete immersion into the Spanish culture, and scheduled excursions to Seville, Granada, and fieldtrips in Malaga.  All on-site travel in Spain, housing and meal expenses (except Sunday meals) are included in the program fees.
