
Civic Leadership Dimension
The goal of Civic Leadership is for a student to embrace and value one’s role as an informed and engaged citizen. Civic Leadership activities give students an opportunity to make a difference in society by contributing their talents, while learning how to relate to others.
After successfully completing this dimension, students will develop a combination of knowledge, skills, values and motivation to make a difference, and enhance personal interests and abilities by serving others.

In order to complete the Civic Leadership Dimension, a student must complete three (3) items listed under the Entering Stage. - Career/Job Fair Attendance (Fall and Spring)
- Complete Twenty (20) Hours of Community Service
- Make a Difference Day Participation (Fall)
- Service 101 Club Development Workshop Attendance (Fall and Spring)
- The Big Event Participation (Spring)
In order to complete the Civic Leadership Dimension, a student must complete two (2) items listed under the Engagement Stage. The items listed below are currently considered as part of the Engagement Stage of the Civic Leadership Dimension. In order to mark these items as complete, please visit tamiu.collegiatelink.net.
- Complete Fifty (50) Hours of Community Service
- Freshman Representative Council Membership with the Student Government Association
- Honor Council Membership
- Student Conduct Board Membership
- Student Organization Officer
In order to complete the Civic Leadership Dimension, a student must complete one (1) item listed under the Leadership Stage. - Complete One Hundred (100) Hours of Community Service
- Student Tour guides, Ambassadors and Recruitment Specialists (STARS) Member
