Welcome Week
Welcome Week is a yearly program that offers a variety of programs to new and returning students. During this week long event, campus maps, souvenirs, planetarium shows, and many other activities are held in order to welcome back students and get new students excited about University life. Most of these events are offered free of charge and open to all TAMIU students.
Dustdevil LIFE Week
Dustdevil Leadership, Involvement, Fun, and Engagement (LIFE) Week offers students unique opportunities on how to get involved on campus and the Laredo community. During this time, an organizational fair is held to inform students of the many student organizations that exist on campus. In addition, a community service project is undertaken by the student body to assist Laredo organization in fulfilling its mission.
University Life Awards
University Life Awards is a ceremonial banquet that recognizes the efforts of our University students and student organizations. During this annual dinner, awards are given to students and organizations that demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities. In addition, one TAMIU student is selected to receive the honor of being named the Sen. Judith Zaffirini (D-Laredo) Student Scholarship and Leadership Award.
Next University Life Awards on April 30, 2011.
