Transfer Student Orientation: The Dustdevil Transition

Congratulations on your acceptance to the University and welcome to Texas A&M International University! All new Dustdevils are required to attend The Dustdevil Transition, catered to your needs as a nontraditional or transfer student in order to prepare you for your life as a Dustdevil. The Dustdevil Transition will assist with any questions you may have about campus services, housing, academic expectations, and student involvement to prepare you for your first semester at TAMIU. If you will be an incoming transfer student, registration for The Dustdevil Transition is available online so sign up for your preferred date.

Orientation is required for all students entering the University for the first time, so please make appropriate plans to attend.

Before getting started, it is important for you to review some important documents that are essential to your success:

  • The Student Handbook provides information about the expectations that the University has of you inside and outside the classroom. It also provides information about your rights and responsibilities as a TAMIU student.
  • The University Catalog gives you information about courses, degree plans, University services, and much more information.
  • The University's Academic Calendar provides information about the final exam schedule, holidays, and other important deadlines.
