Title V-EEP Technology Enhanced Rooms and Faculty Resources
With the addition of 7 new SMART boards, the Title V - Educational Excellence Project (EEP) program aims to create an engaging 21st-century learning environment for students on campus and provide faculty and staff with the most up-to-date technological resources and professional development.
The Title V-EEP team is staffed with two SMART certified trainers that can help meet your training needs. SMART Certified Trainers are both knowledgeable and professional, having undergone an extensive certification process.

Levels of training include: Level 1 - designed to help educators learn how to use SMART Notebook Software and SMART Board interactive whiteboard. Level 2 Intermediate - intended to help educators learn design fundamentals and develop presentation creation skills. Title V is a cooperative grant shared by Laredo Community College (Lead Institution) and Texas A&M International University (Partner Institution). The five year grant was awarded in October 2007 and is funded via the U. S. Department of Education Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions program. According to the Department of Education's web site, "This program helps eligible institutions of higher education enhance and expand their capacity to serve Hispanic and low-income students by providing funds to improve and strengthen the academic quality, institutional stability, management, and fiscal capabilities of eligible institutions.
