Golden Circle Award

The Office of Alumni Relations is pleased to announce the establishment of the Golden Circle Award.  This Award has been created to acknowledge and honor outstanding students by awarding them an Official TAMIU Class Ring. 

TAMIU Alumni invites and encourages students who are worthy of becoming a recipient of this Award to apply by Monday, February 19, 2018. 

 

Applicants must:

  • Be a current TAMIU student in good standing with the University
  • Have 75 or more credit hours
  • Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need*
  • Provide a copy of their 2017-2018 TAMIU Financial Aid Awards
  • Submit an essay describing their merit of the Golden Circle Award
  • Provide a resume
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a TAMIU Faculty or Full-time Staff member 

*Financial need, in this case, is defined as the gap between tuition and fees and financial aid awards - excluding loans. 

Applicants may not:

  • Serve as current TAMIU Alumni Association Members
  • Be relatives of current TAMIU Alumni Association Members

Instructions for submitting an Award application:

  1. Submit your application here no later than midnight Monday, February, 19, 2018

Award nominations will be reviewed by the Award Committee and the Award recipient will be contacted no later than Friday, March 9, 2018.  The winner will be awarded the ring during the Ring Ceremony in May.
