The role of the Class Giving Campaign Committee is to educate the student body about the importance of the Class Giving Campaign and to encourage active participation.

 

who should apply?


We are looking for Dustdevils who are passionate about TAMIU, believe in the TAMIU experience, are motivated to make a difference, and aren't afraid to flex their communication skills. (No prior experience in fundraising is required!)

 

what do we do?


The Class Giving Campaign Committee will spearhead the Class Giving Campaign for that semester. They are in charge of, with the help of the advisor, developing a marketing plan around the campaign, an outreach strategy, setting campaign goals, and working towards achieving those goals.

 

time commitment


The average time commitment for a Class Giving Campaign Committee Member is 2-4 hours per month.

  • 1 hour for monthly meetings
  • 2 to 3 hours for helping at events and soliciting participants online

 

roles & responsibilities


Committee Members must:

  • Be enthusiastic about the Class Giving Campaign and encourage their classmates to make a gift
  • Attend monthly committee meetings
  • Solicit classmates directly via personal social media accounts
  • Lead and create advertising and outreach efforts
  • Lead by example and make a donation (if graduating). :) 
  • Set percentage/ participation goals
  • Create a strategic plan to achieve goal that includes a targeted marketing campaign and at least one event in the semester
