The Dustdevil P.R.I.D.E. Scholarship Endowment was dreamt up by the inaugural 2015-16 Student Philanthropy Council in an effort to empower fellow Dustdevils by reducing financial stress. Selected scholars are recognized for their TAMIU pride, academic achievement, and commitment to serving our community.

history

Officially launched in 2016 by the Student Philanthropy Council, the Dustdevil  P.R.I.D.E. Scholarship Endowment was started entirely by students for students at TAMIU.

P.R.I.D.E. stands for Philanthropists Revolutionizing Ideologies, Diversity and Education.

The Dustdevil P.R.I.D.E. Scholarship Endowment is funded through the Class Giving Campaign.

The idea behind this scholarship was to empower students by reducing their financial stress.

Funding for the scholarship endowment is provided through the Class Giving Campaign, which is an opportunity for graduating TAMIU students - both undergraduate and graduate - to give back to the institution. Thanks to the commitment and generosity of the Class of 2017, the Class Giving Campaign generated over $10,000 in donations!

Graduating students can participate in this campaign by donating a minimum of $25.

Both the Class Giving Campaign and the Dustdevil P.R.I.D.E. Scholarship Endowment were started by the Student Philanthropy Council just two years ago!
