Welcome to the 22nd Annual ARMADILLO 2012 Conference

(Association for Research in Memory, Attention, Decision-Making, Imagery, Language, Learning & Organized Perception)

The 22nd Annual ARMADILLO conference will take place at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), Student Center (SC) Ballroom, October 26th - October 27th, 2012. The Keynote Speaker will be Morton Ann Gernsbacher, Vilas Research Professor and Sir Frederic C. Bartlett Professor of Psychology. See the Members page for the email list for the ARMADILLO group. Call for papers and posters will end August 31st. Please let us know if you will be presenting an oral or poster presentation, and if you require any special accommodations other than presentation software (e.g., LibreOffice/OpenOffice/Microsoft).

We will have 4' x 8' bulletin boards for posters. Two posters can be attached to each side, which restricts size of each to 4' by 4'.

ATTENDANCE FEES: If you are a student: $10. If you have a PhD: $50. Also, if you would like to eat meals at the conference site (lunch and dinner on Friday at  Casa Ortiz in Historical Downtown Laredo), please send an additional $30. We will have plenty of good catered food for lunch and dinner. We have excellent restaurants close to TAMIU and hotels, but we recommend that you partake in both lunch and dinner to socialize with everyone! If you need vegetarian dishes only, please email rheredia@tamiu.edu ASAP.

IMPORTANT: There are check points in South Texas, as you leave town, where non-US citizens are required to produce their passport or some kind of documentation evidencing their legal status in the US. Make sure to have your ID, or if you are a non-US citizen, your passport ready with an I-94 form attached so you will be allowed to continue through the check point.

REGISTRATION: On-line registration (under registrastion tab or click here) is now available. All major credit cards are accepted. You are also very welcome to mail a check (made out to Texas A&M International Universitry-ARMADILLO 2012) to the address below. You can get a receipt from us at the conference, or if you would like it mailed to you, please include a stamped return envelope with the address to send it to.
