1. General Information
Dr. Tongdan Jin is an assistant professor of systems engineering program at Texas A&M International University(TAMIU) since 2006. He has been working with colleagues to successfully develop and
implement a new BS Systems Engineering program at TAMIU. He also serves the director of Systems and Computation Lab.
Prio to TAMIU, he held a Reliability Engineer position at Teradyne Inc.,Boston, MA for five years.
Teradyne is a world leading manufacturer in providing semiconductor testing solutions for high-speed digital, mixed signal, and memory devices.
He worked with cross-functional teams from marketing, design, manufacturing, and support departments to enhance product reliability and improve customer satisfactions world-wide.
In 2007, he was awarded the Chunhui Fellowship, a prestigious award to young oversea Chinese scholars, by The Ministry of Education
of China. He conducted research projects with professor in the School of Microelectronics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) during
the summer 2007. He also assisted local professors in developing new engineering courses.
During his graduate study at Rutgers University, he accomplished multiple research projects in the Quality and Reliability Engineering Center,
a National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center.
Among the recognitions and awards received are: (1) Chunhui Research Fellowship; (2) University Fellowship at Rutgers University;
(3) University Fellowship at The Ohio State University; (4) Outstanding Master Thesis Award at Beijing Institute of Technology;
(5) First-Class Scholarship Recipients at Shanxi University of Science and Technology.
He is the member of IEEE and INFORMS .
His research interests include, but not limited to:
1) Uncertainty and sensitivity analysis for complex systems.
1) Microelectronics fabrications, reliability testing and quality controls.
2) Probabilistic reliability modeling and optimizations.
3) Applied operations research in supply chain and engineering systems.
