ACT ON IDEAS UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (URF)
The Act On Ideas Undergraduate Research Fellowship (URF) program is a funding opportunity designed to give undergraduate students an authentic research experience under the guidance of a faculty mentor.
The URF is available every semester and open to rising Junior (69-89 completed credit hours) and Senior (90+ completed credit hours) students with a 3.2 minimum Institutional GPA. Students interested in applying must address a scholarly/research question or undertake a research question that could inform a creative activity during a semester.
The number of fellows selected is contingent on the availability of funds. Students are hired for a semester as Student Research Assistants (SRAs) working up to 12 hours per week at $10 per hour. A $500 stipend is awarded to the faculty member for mentoring and guiding the fellow throughout the the research project.
HOW TO APPLY
Proposed faculty mentors have to complete their application section before the deadline. The faculty mentor will receive an e-mail with instructions after student application is received.
