DUSTY Promise Program

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU has expanded its commitment to low income students through the Dusty Promise Program. The Dusty Promise aids students with family income below $30,000 by pledging to provide enough scholarships and grants to pay tuition and mandatory fees for all eligible¹ students.

Eligibility¹

  • You must be a Texas resident and eligible to pay resident tuition
  • you must be an entering freshman or undergraduate transfer student beginning in the summer or fall 2013 semester or beyond. (Current students who entered TAMIU prior to the Summer 2013 semester are not eligible)
  • You must be a degree-seeking student (student who are seeking a second bachelor's degree or  in a program in which they receive a bachelor's and masters after completion of their program, and are classified as a master's student are not eligible  for this program)
  • You (if your are an independent student) or your parent(s) (if you are a dependent student) must have an adjusted gross income of $30,000 or less
  • You must be admitted and enrolled full-time (15 hours) at TAMIU (Fall and Spring)
  • You must have financial need as determined by the FAFSA
  • You must maintain a 2.5 GPA and meet Satisfactory Academic Program requirements
  • You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 15th prior to the fall semester.
