magazine’s Military Friendly Schools
list. The list honors colleges, universities and
trade schools that best embrace America’s
military service members and veterans as
students.

— TAMIU was ranked in the Top 10%
nationally of Master’s Universities in a survey
conducted by
Washington Monthly
Magazine for
its “2012 College Rankings.” TAMIU’s ranking
was based on the University’s contribution
in three broad categories: Social Mobility,
Research and Service
A.R. Sanchez. Jr. Business School Named
Outstanding
— The TAMIU A.R. Sanchez, Jr.
School of Business is an outstanding business
school, according to
The Princeton Review
. The
education services company features the School
in the new 2013 edition of its annual guidebook,
“The Best 296 Business Schools” (Random
House / Princeton Review).
TAMIU Nurses Impress with Pass Rates
TAMIU College of Nursing and Health Science’s
Dr. F. M. Canseco School of Nursing grads
posted a first time pass rate of 93% on the 2012
NCLEX-RN exam. The 2011 pass rate was 92%.
First time pass rate for 2011 was 92%.
TAMIU Helps Students with Scholarships.

Institution Higher Ed Producer of Degrees for
Latinos
— The Texas Higher Education Journal
named TAMIU the State’s number one public
institution of higher education for producing the
largest number of Latino graduates.
TAMIU Cited by National Researchers

‘Robust’ Assessment Practices
Researchers from the National Institute for
Learning Outcomes Assessment  (NILOA)
recognized TAMIU as a featured institution in its
