graduates.
Economist
editors released their first analyses
and subsequent rankings, recognizing universities whose
graduates enjoy the largest boost in economic status. Texas
A&M International University’s ranking as 9th in the nation,
and the only Texas institution in the Top 20, underscores the
promise this University fulfills to our citizens.
The Economist
article specifically mentions TAMIU:
“Perhaps the most useful piece of data in the Scorecard,
however, is the list of institutions that lift disadvantaged
students into the middle class.” Called “outperformer[s],
universities like TAMIU post our graduates’ earnings above
the national average.” Last summer,
Money Magazine
also noted this singular strength at TAMIU, awarding the
University a grade of “A,” the only one given in Texas, for
providing the most valued-added experience.
This is who we are. This is what we do. We inspire
our students to soar, borne aloft by wisdom and beauty-
--writings, paintings, and music---of the ages, anchored
by a job, which grants admittance to “life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness.” A healthy salary andWordsworth’s
daffodils…Our graduates can have them both!
